Howdy!

We are so glad and grateful you landed here to learn a bit about us…the “2H”s.

We met the summer of ’86 at Texas A&M, just before Ricky entered the Corps of Cadets. We both finished our degrees in ’90 and Ricky graduated with an accounting degree, while Jessica obtained a journalism degree.

Ricky began his career in real estate by working, and traveling, as an internal auditor for a large, publicly traded Title Company, while Jessica began her career in advertising & hospitality. We tied the knot in 1992 while living in Houston.

In 1993, Ricky was offered to relocate relocated to San Antonio to pursue a career opportunity with a Real Estate information company that automated title companies and county governments.

3 years later, we returned to Houston to be closer to our families and start our own family of two wonderful children. Ricky remained engaged in real estate, with a publicly traded manufactured housing company. We also became landlords of our previous San Antonio residence for the next 30 years.

In 2001, while in Houston, we launched our first venture together with a HOA property management business. Yes, our marriage has thrived while working side-by-side in this business for the last 22 years. Additionally, we extensively remodeled our Houston home by adding a second story to our one-story house…while living in it (not recommended).

Aggieland was calling our names, so we decided to move our family to College Station in 2007. We were sure busy with our young family, and probably a little crazy to start a second business in 2009 of providing trash & recycling services to apartments, businesses, and residences. Yes, two teenage kids, with two thriving businesses…a bit much. We met our match and decided to sell our trash & recycling business after 8 years, in 2017, as something had to give.

Gaining additional real estate experience, we bought a 5-acre undeveloped tract of land nearby, and put in the infrastructure (cleared the land, added driveway, drilled a water well, put in septic). Then, we relocated a used double wide mobile home on the property and rehabbed it into a fantastic furnished home and operated it as an AirBnB, until we recently sold it.

In 2021, we designed and built our newest residence, which we now call home. Having some of the best subcontractors around, we finished the home within 6 months, despite the supply chain issues we faced. Jessica was instrumental in the decorating and the “real” decision making on this project and we are proud of the way it turned out.

Needing another real estate-based business, Ricky and his longtime hometown friend and college roommate, Rusty, created a private money lending business in 2021. This venture provides loans to the fix & flippers needing capital to complete their projects.

All this “who are we” to say: We are very passionate about real estate! So much so, Ricky recently obtained his real estate license, and we purchased an investment property in downtown Navasota to develop someday.

Now that we have recently sold our HOA property management business, are empty nesters and grandparents to 3 amazing grandkids, we are now focusing our time on helping others in their real estate endeavors.
